The members of Region
6 extend a warm invitation to all STAR
members to come to Sherborne, Dorset for
the 2012 STAR National Rally. The format
will be on similar lines to previous
years, but with some new ideas and
innovations. The main innovation will be a
photograph competition, full detail lower
down this page.
Currently the weekend
looks like this:
Friday 29th. June;
evening get together with food and drink
at The Sherborne Hotel.
Saturday 30th.
June; Staurday morning - meet at Millborne
Port Village Hall. The AGM will take place
this morning followed by a short run. The
run will culminate at one of two
destinations, either Royal Naval Air
Station at Yeovilton to visit the air
museum or Haynes International Motor
Museum at Sparkford. The choice will be
yours on a pre-booked basis. Both venues
have restaurants and there will be plenty
of time to explore these large museums of
your choice during the afternoon. Saturday
evening will be at Milborne Port Village
Hall. Photograph Competition Winners will
be announced during the evening.
Sunday 1st. July;
Sunday is Show Day at Sherborne Castle!
Booking forms will
be issued with the February issue of
STARDUST. However, if you wish to book

CALLING ALL STAR MEMBERS ACROSS THE WORLD
ENTER THE
2012
STAR NATIONAL PHOTOGRAPH COMPETITION
We in
Region 6 wanted something new, so this is
it! We want members from across the world
to enter, from New Zealand to North
America to India to mainland Europe and
the UK. We want the National to be an
International event even if you are unable
to attend in person!
Send
your pictures, colour or black and white,
they can be formal, arty, landscapes,
comical or family orientated whatever, but
they must include something to do with our
cars.
You
must send an actual print. It's as simple
as that. There will be two categories: UK
based members and Rest of the World
members. There will be winners of each
category. There are a few simple rules:
1.
Photographs must have been taken by the
member within the last 10 years.
2.
The picture must be in print form and
measure 9" x 6" or thereabouts.
3.
Closing date will be 31st. May 2012, no
exceptions.
4. A
maximum of 3 pictures per member.
5.
The back of each photograph must show your
membership number only.
6.
The photographs will be retained by the
club and placed in the archives for future
publication.
7.
